This workshop will focus on creating and transforming traditional pottery forms through a variety of throwing and construction methods. Demonstrations will include throwing and stacking forms in multiple parts and assembling with a chuck system, creating off-axis forms, distorting thrown forms through cutting into forms and adding slabs, use of paper templates to design components like spouts and handles, and sgraffito and slip inlay decorating techniques.
