The KC Clay Guild received a non-restricted grant from the Arts KC. This money will be used to help fix our ceiling in the kiln room. Thanks Arts KC!
KC Clay Guild members donated tons of pottery to help raise money. Our donations helped raise about $120.00. It was a fun event and we wll definitely do it again.
Several KC Clay Guild members not only donated their artwork to help raise money for this great establishment, but also volunteered their time to help out with the silent auction and other duties. It was a success! The KC Clay Guild's donations helped raise about $250.00. We plan on helping out again next year.
The KC Clay Guild received a grant from the Francis Family Foundation to help us build a new kiln. Our new kiln is scheduled to be ready by August. Here are some pictures of our new kiln being built. Reid Riley and Todd Scholtz have donated their time and kiln building knowledge to build this great kiln.
...And we can build this kiln together, stand in stone forever, nothing's gonna stop us now. And if this world runs out of potters we'll still have each other. Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now.
Susan Kemp inspired all of us to make things to donate. The donations from KC Clay Guild members raised about $1,105.00. Here's a list of contributing artists and the winning bids on their donated ceramic artwork.
