Here are some pics of our kiln project...
This is a sprung arch downdraft gas fired kiln. It will be fired with 2 forced air gas burners.
See the wooden arch support? it holds up the brick untill the arch is complete, then its removed.

The fiber blocks you see stacked inside the kiln will be the insulation in the door. They will keep the 2000+ heat inside.
The height is just right. Below is the door on its way to the Guild.
The door is the whole wall on the front side. It hangs from a rail and slides to the side to open.
This will make loading and unloading much easier.
