Here you can stay updated on the KC Clay Guilds involvement in
the community and read about our outreach programs. The KC Clay
Guild's board members are currently developing programs that will
allow underprivileged children, special needs children / adults, and
senior citizens to come in and work with clay FOR FREE! The details
of these programs are being ironed out as we search for grants
that will fund these great pottery classes. We believe everyone
should have the oppourtunity to experience the joys of working with
clay. It is very theraputic and can be a relaxing
exercise.

Francis Family
Foundation New Kiln Project Grant
Received 11-01-07
The KC Clay Guild received a grant from the Francis Family
Foundation to help us build a new kiln. Our new kiln is scheduled to
be ready by August. Here are some pictures of our new kiln being
built. Reid Riley and Todd Scholtz have donated their time and kiln
building knowledge to build this great kiln.

And we can build this kiln together, stand
in stone forever, nothing's gonna stop us now. And if this
world runs out of potters we'll still have each other.
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now. |
