August
~ Random Encounters ~
Ceramic work by:
Brett Boyer Liz Scavuzzo
|
Artist's Reception: |
Friday, August 1st, 2008
- 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm |
|
Show Runs: |
August 1st through August
28th |
Random Encounters
Random: without definite aim, direction, rule, or
method, lacking a definite
plan, purpose, or pattern
Encounters: to come upon or experience especially
unexpectedly, to meet especially
by chance,
a particular kind of
meeting or experience with another
person.
Ceramics is a collaboration of trials and
tribulations
pushing new and old ideas together,
then pulling them back apart.
Taking chunks of success and failure and
meshing them into something coherent.
Random
Encounters
is a fitting explanation of how
this process has unfolded.
Liz Scavuzzo and Brett Boyer are two very
different clay artists.
They have created a body of artwork
utilizing such different approaches to
clay,
that it requires you to see and
experience it for it to be understood.
Come and see what
all has developed so far. . .
