For as little as $10.00 (during FUN NIGHTS) you can be on your way to making beautiful ceramic works of art! We have several pottery classes available to get you started. Whether you have never worked with clay or you've been doing it for years, our friendly, knowledgeable instructors will help you on your way to making your ceramic dreams come true. Feel free to call ahead to make sure there will be a monitor on duty. Our monitors are reliable, however; in the unfortunate case there can't be a monitor on duty, the KC Clay Guild will be closed. That's a great deal! ================================================================================== Posted 11-07-08: Call for Hand Made Bowl Donations The KC Clay Guild is holding their first annual fundraiser titled: A Night of Bowl-ing on January 18, 2009. The money raised will benefit the KC Clay Guild. All can goods and non-perishable food items collected that night will be donated to a charitable organization. We need hand made bowls to help make this fundraiser a success. Please bring your donations to the KC Clay Guild. FREE CLASS AVAILABLE! Join the KC Clay Guild every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm until January 7th 2009 for a free bowl making workshop/class. Enrollment will be determined every Wednesday on a first come first serve basis and space will be limited to available wheels (6 to 10). Instruction, Clay, and firing costs will all be provided. You will learn the basics of bowl throwing and trimming. Here's the catch: All bowls made during this free class/workshop will be donated to the KC Clay Guild for the Night of Bowl-ing Fundraiser on January 18th, 2009. All bowls left over from this event will be donated to the One Good Meal fundraiser ran by Bernell Rice at the Rotary Club January 31st, 2009. So please come and take advantage of this free class on making bowls.
