Anne Mulvihill

 

Anne Mulvihill teaches the Thursday Evening class from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. You will learn primarily wheel throwing techniques with some hand-building. Intermediate to advanced students please.

Interview with Anne Mulvihill
How long have you been doing ceramic work? 18 years.
Who or what inspires you? I am most inspired by the works of Neil Finn and Clive Owen.
What is your favorite kind of ceramic work? My taste is pretty dynamic so it's hard to pick just one.
How long have you been teaching? 14 years.
What skill level do you teach? I teach students who's skills are Intermediate to advanced.
Do you teach Wheel Throwing or Hand Building Techniques? I teach primarily throwing. I also have students create altered forms requiring some hand building and compound form techniques.
What can students expect to learn from your class? Students can expect to learn how to make complex forms and to consider the aesthetics of the forms in relation to their function.
What kind of atmosphere does your class have? Demanding, challenging and self-critique.
Is there anything  that makes your class special? My class takes field trips and has group shows at art fairs.
Is there anything else you'd like to say to prospective students? If you want to take your skills to the next level, come learn and have fun with us!
