Pete Pinnell, nationally known ceramic artist and professor at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Artist applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States to participate.
Entry fee is $30 for up to three works per artist. Works must have been completed within the last two years. Work must reflect the theme of the show: Tea bowls. Work must not exceed 12 inches in any direction.
Make checks payable to KC CLAY GUILD. Submit entry fee and form with your CD of images. Entries must be postmarked by listed date, April 5, 2010. All artists will be notified by email. In addition, include packaging with adequate postage for the return of your CD if you want it returned to you.
Two images per entry are allowed. Submit images in JPEG format. Do not send RAW, TIFF or PSD files. Images should be 300 dpi and no more than 2100 pixels at the longest dimension. (Approximately a 5 in. x 7 in. high resolution photo) All files must be labeled with applicant’s first initial and last name followed by image number. Please include H x W x D, materials used and firing process. Please include all materials (CD, entry form and stamped return mailing envelope) in a folder marked with applicant’s name.
If selected, artwork must be installation ready. KCCG reserves the right to reject any artwork due to inadequate preparation for installation or for security or public safety concerns. Work that differs from the images submitted will not be accepted. After installation, no artwork may be removed from the exhibition until the close of the show.
Accepted artwork must be received by KCCG by listed dates. The cost of shipping to and from the gallery is the responsibility of the artist. KCCG is not responsible for any damage during shipment. It is the artist's responsibility to insure their artwork during the shipping process.
All pieces must be for sale. KCCG will retain a 40% commission on any sold artwork. The artist will receive 60% of the sale price. Artwork that does not sell will be shipped back to the artist.
There will be at least $1000.00 in prize money awarded to "Best in Show", 1st and 2nd runners up. In addition there will also be purchase awards.
KCCG reserves the right to photograph exhibited work and use either these photographs or the artist digital images for reproduction in both printed and electronic materials for publicity.

Friday, June 1, 2010- KC Clay Guild Teabowl National opens

Wednesday, June 30, 2010- show closing
Thursday, July 1, 2010- unsold artwork will begin being sent back.
