Who we are and our Mission
We are a non-profit, all volunteer run organization with a mission: To provide a supportive environment in which the clay community can meet, share knowledge, experience, and promote public awareness of the ceramic arts and foster creative and economic growth.
The Guild is for Everyone
People of all ages and skill levels are welcome at the KC Clay Guild. If you have always wanted to try making things out of clay, we have very affordable options to get you started. At the KC Clay Guild, you have access to our studio and all the tools and equipment that the pro's have but without spending thousands of dollars! For as little as $10.00 (during FUN NIGHTS ) you can be on your way to making beautiful ceramic works of art! Making pottery is a great stress reliever so come on down today and join in the fun of ceramic arts!
Better Your Skills With "Class"
Do you want to learn how to make pottery on a potters wheel? We have several pottery classes available to get you started. Whether you have never worked with clay or you've been doing it for years, our friendly, knowledgeable instructors will help you on your way to making your ceramic dreams come true.
You don't have to take advantage of our great classes to advance your skills. You can purchase a monthly studio access plan or pay by the our to use our studio space. That means you can use the pottery wheels and all the handbuilding accessories, the glaze room and glaze tools to create your work of art.
Good Times
The KC Clay Guild has some pretty fun and exciting events through out the year. One of our most popular events is Raku Night. Raku Night comes only twice a year: Spring and Fall. The KCCG also has the Holiday Pottery Sale and Studio Tour the first weekend of December. This is where many artists open thier studios to the public to come see and purchase their work.
The Centered Earth Gallery
Our Centered Earth Gallery showcases the artwork of our talented members. There is a new show every month. Some showing individually and some group shows. There is usually an opening or closing reception where you can meet the artist. Come get inspired and maybe purchase that must-have piece of ceramic art.
